Suspect faces charges for mischief and failing to comply with probation orders.
Police have arrested a man who is accused of vandalizing a local Harriet Tubman statue.
The NRP says the statue, located at the Salem Chapel British Methodist Episcopal Church in St. Catharines, was intentionally damaged on Sunday.
Yesterday, officers arrested the suspect, 24 year old Jessie Lohnes-Alanko of no fixed address.
He's been charged with Mischief Over $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
A court date has been set.
