They pulled 26 transport trucks over at the Vineland truck scale
Ministry of Transportion and the NRP both shaking their heads at a recent transport truck safety blitz at the QEW truck scale in Vineland.
In their continued efforts to find trucks intentionally by-passing the scale by going through neighbourhoods, they pulled 26 drivers over for inspection on Thursday.
They say an astonishing 50%, that's 13 vehicles, were taken off the road for significant safety concerns.
13 charges were laid for defective tires, brakes, insecure load, driving with major defect, improper registered weight, improper daily inspections, and expired annual inspection.
Police encourage the reporting of traffic complaints.
