Police say he tried to shoplift $1,400 worth of merchandise from a drug store in Port Colborne.
The NRP is investigating an attempted theft in the Clarence Street and Catherine Street area on April 16th.
Police say their suspect fled after he was confronted by a store employee.
All of the merchandise was recovered.
The suspect is believed to be a white man in his 30s, standing at about 6-feet-tall with a medium build and a moustache.
He was wearing a heavy black coat, black pants with a white stripe, light coloured running shoes and a black and white toque at the time of the incident.
