Victim assaulted after armed suspects stole his wallet
Police are asking witnesses to come forward after an armed robbery in Thorold.
Around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday night, two suspects approached a man on an e-bike on Summers Drive near Confederation Avenue.
Police say one of the suspects was holding a black handgun and ordered the victim to hand over his wallet.
After the wallet was surrendered, the two men assaulted the victim for about 30 seconds before taking off in a grey Hyundai sedan.
The victim, a 20 year old man, suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital.
He has since been released, and is recovering at home.
Police are asking for help identifying the two suspects.
