Collision took place on Victoria Avenue near Sixteen Road
A woman is in hospital after a crash in Pelham this morning.
Around 9:48 a.m., a single vehicle crash took place on Victoria Avenue near Sixteen Road.
Details are limited, but investigators say the woman's injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
She has been taken to an out of region hospital.
No one else was inside the vehicle at the time.
Victoria Road is closed between Sixteen Road and Twenty Mile Road.
The road is expected to be closed into the afternoon, and the closure will affect transport truck routes.
It is not yet known what caused the collision.
The NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit and the NRPS Forensics Unit are investigating.
Drivers are advised to find another route.
