Unknown suspect damages rainbow crosswalk at Niagara Stone Road and Anderson Lane
Police are looking for a suspect after a rainbow crosswalk in Niagara-on-the-Lake was vandalized.
Officers say the damage took place at some point between the morning of Tuesday, May 30th, and Thursday, June 1st at 5:47 p.m.
Rainbow crosswalks are installed in some areas to show support for the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community.
Police say they have a video of a man riding an ATV doing "burnouts" on the crosswalk.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- Slim build
The suspect was wearing:
- Black full-face helmet
- Shirtless
- Red or pink shorts
- Black shin high socks
- White Crocs
The ATV is described as dark, possibly green, and the right rear taillight may not be working properly.
