Police Investigating Deadly Crash in St. Catharines

Intersection of Vine Street and Scott Street is closed

One person is dead following a crash in St. Catharines.

Around 9:30 this morning, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Vine Street and Scott Street.

Police say a 29 year old man from Lincoln was driving a white Freightliner Box Truck when it collided with a blue Toyota Matrix.

The driver of the Matrix, a 74 year old woman from St. Catharines, was killed.

Police had the intersection closed, but it has since re-opened.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and witnesses can contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009170.
