Police asking for witnesses to come forward
Police were called to the St. Catharines beach yesterday evening around 6:00 after a group of people in their 20's rented a boat.
The victim, who was on the boat, went into the water after it stopped just off shore and failed to surface.
Emergency crews, the police marine unit, St. Catharines Fire, Trenton Search and Rescue and the Canadian Coast Guard all assisted in the search, but so far have not found the missing man.
Any witnesses are asked to call police at 905-688-4111.
