After consultations with the community and fire fighters, the City of Port Colborne is not joining Wainfleet in sharing fire department services.
This was decided after the city and council reviewed the community's fire services needs.
The City of Port Colborne is also pleased to welcome Chief David Wood, as the new interim Chief, he previously served as St. Catharines fire chief, and comes with 30-years of experience.
The city is also thanking Wainfleet for its fire services over the last few months.
