Mayor Steele pumped for musical lineup, cruises by Empire Sandy, and fireworks he claims are better than Niagara Falls
An exciting lineup revealed today for Port Colborne's Canal Days in the first week of August.
Mayor Bill Steele and others announced festivities that'll include Empire Sandy cruises, as well as music from Tom Cochrane and others.
The mayor was especially pleased with the fireworks lineup. "I don't care what Mayor Diodati of Niagara Falls says, he's gotta do a whole summer of fireworks every night, still doesn't touch our fireworks show along the canal, believe me."
The city's Chief Administrative Officer Scott Luey added it's presented by GIO rail... but there's more.
"This year, tremendous success, we have more than double the number of sponsors we had last year. There's over 50 sponsors this year, and we're very happy to partner with each of you. And, if you know of anyone who should be here, and is not here, you should call them and email them, and tell them they should be here sponsoring Canal Days too."
Canal Days mainstage will once again be at H.H. Knoll Lakeview park.
