Inflatable water park coming to Port Colborne in 2022.
The City of Port Colborne is making some big plans for the 2022 beach season.
Officials plan to introduce Splashtown Niagara, an inflatable water park, to Nickel Beach.
The attraction will be located on the west side of Nickel Beach, and offer families a fun way to splash around.
All costs with the new amenity will be paid for by Splashtown Niagara.
"Being a beach town that already draws in many people throughout the summer, Port Colborne is the perfect location for Splashtown Niagara," said Derek Stonier, owner and operator of Splashtown Niagara. "As a father myself, I’m so excited to be offering families a unique experience in Niagara."

Other options the City is exploring for next year include updating washroom facilities and adding food vendors at Nickel Beach.
The City is also reporting a successful beach season, with over 50,000 beachgoers enjoying the sandy shores of Lake Erie this summer.
