City wants public opinion on dredging project, saying years of sediment has built up
Your thoughts are wanted by the City of Port Colborne on what to do with Sugarloaf Marina and the public boat launch area.
The city says the water near the launch area is becoming more shallow each year, due to accumulation of sediment, silt and sand.
In the last few years, sediment build up has reached levels that hinders boats.
The city says it's considering a dredging project to clear it out, but first, the city wants some public opinion.
Your thoughts on the extent of dredging, where to put what is removed, and the future of the marina in general are wanted.
