Councillor Elliott updated the recent AMO conference on efforts, spoke with Ontario Medical Association
A quick update at Port Colborne city council concerning efforts to get more doctors.
Councillor Dave Elliott was at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference, and says the Ontario Medical Association showed him plans to help Port Colborne. "Their goal is to see every person registered with a doctor going forward, so, I know that the Mayor is working hard on something in the background with this committee."
While the councillor didn't give much detail, he expressed excitement from the province of what Port Colborne is working on.
"Deputy Minister of Health, when we explained to her what we were doing, she was very impressed on the tact we're taking, and was taking notes very quickly, to go back to the Minister [of Health] and let her know what was going on in Port Colborne."
