Robert Land Academy headmaster Ryan Smid confirmed that a staff member has contracted the virus.
The news comes the same week that the Wellandport military-themed boarding school commenced online learning.
As reported by the CBC, Smid believes that the individual, who was asymptomatic, contracted the virus off-campus.
He also says that the worker was supervising one of the school's four cohorts for several days.
The group is self-isolating in their barracks, but will still be allowed outside for exercise.
The province is allowing students currently in residence to resume remote learning.
