Hydro crews working hard again last night to keep the lights on
Hydro crews once again working through the night to restore power to thousands.
NPEI crews spent the night getting the lights back on for more than 2,000 customers in the Lincoln and Jordan area after the wind took down a few trees, causing damage to wires.
An outage yesterday afternoon at the Pen Centre caused the mall to close and Niagara Public Health to shutter its pop up vaccine clinic for kids.
Power was restored two hours later.
Sporadic outages were also reported last night in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie.
Meanwhile, the town of Fort Erie tweeting out there are still issues resulting from last weekend’s storm.
The town says the Rogers cell tower located at the Crystal Ridge library and Crystal Ridge Arena sustained heavy damage.
Officials add a temporary tower will be put in place and Rogers service will resume on Monday, weather permitting.
