Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott are defending 10 person cap at restaurants.
In a joint conference, Ford indicated that while he understood the plight of restaurant owners, following restrictions is key right now.
Elliott agreed, stating that "there is evidence of a direct link between COVID spread and transmission in restaurants and bars."
She went on to say that such measures are necessary in order to bend this curve and get numbers lowered.
Ford and Elliott made the comments after Niagara Region councillors voiced their concerns.
