The new West Lincoln hospital is 80% larger than the site it replaces
It is officially open, the new West Lincoln Memorial hospital.
Premier Doug Ford was there last week, to help announce the hospital that has a nearly $250-million provincial investment.
It is almost 80% larger than the existing site it's replacing, and is the first new hospital in Ontario to include all single-patient rooms.
It'll offer complex and palliative care and surgical services in new, more modern facilities, as well as maternal and newborn services, including six birthing suites.
The mayors of Grimsby, Lincoln, West Lincoln and regional councillors all expressed their appreciation for the new hospital.
