New York Senator Chuck Schumer has joined the growing chorus of calls for a reopening of the border

Schumer held a news conference yesterday to call for an immediate opening to non essential travellers

The Senator says he is calling on both Washington and Ottawa to come up with a plan, based on science, data and common sense, that will allow for staged and steady border travel and reunite families and friends and jumpstart local economies.

This comes as the Premiers of both Ontario and Quebec call for stricter measures at the border for non essential travellers
