Finance Minister says the Ontario government will direct the LCBO to withdraw all products from Russia.
Ontario's Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy says the province is ordering the LCBO to withdraw all products produced in Russia, following its invasion of Ukraine.
"Ontario joins Canada’s allies in condemning the Russian government’s act of aggression against the Ukrainian people, and will direct the LCBO to withdraw all products produced in Russia from store shelves," Bethlenfalvy tweeting out.
This comes after Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca and NDP Leader Andrea Horwath called on Premier Doug Ford to order the LCBO to drop all Russian products from store shelves.
Earlier today, Ford said he would meet with senior ministers to discuss a ban.
