Phase 3 begins next month
The change, released by the province yesterday evening, specify adults over 50 living in COVID-19 hotspot neighbourhoods will be eligible once Phase 2 begins next month.
Most of those neighbourhoods are in the GTA.
High risk Ontarians are also included in the second phase rollout, and the document now gives clear guidelines on who is considered high risk.
Those in the highest risk categories include organ transplant recipients, certain stem cell recipients, those with certain neurological diseases and people suffering kidney disease.
As well adults between 60 and 79, and essential workers who cannot work from home, are also among those included in Phase 2.
