The Ontario government has made some changes to the Main Street Relief Grant in order to help small businesses purchase personal protective equipment.
Small businesses with 2 - 19 employees can now apply for the grant, which is expanded from 2 - 9 employees.
Businesses in the arts, entertainment and recreation sector can now apply for up to $1,000 to offset the costs of purchasing personal protective equipment.
The grant is also open to businesses in retail, food services, repair and maintenance, personal and laundry services and gyms and yoga studios.
The expansion is being made due to more regions entering the province's colour-coded COVID-19 framework.
