Investment will improve access to services in rural and remote communities.
The Ontario government is investing over $62 million for children and youth receiving support from the Ontario Autism Program.
The money will help provide improved access to programs in remote and rural communities, as well as enhanced training for staff and clinicians.
Minister of Children, Community and Social Services Dr. Merrilee Fullerton made the announcement today.
"This investment will enable a stable, efficient, and skilled workforce so more families can access the core clinical services they need."
Funds will be put towards expanding access for rural, Indigenous, remote and francophone communities, and enhancing training for over 7,000 clinicians.
