The province's Education Minister says the money currently offered from the federal government wouldn't bring child care fees to $10 a day in Ontario.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the province will sit down with the federal government tomorrow to hammer out a child care deal.
Lecce told reporters today that the offer currently on the table from Ottawa wouldn't reduce child care fees in Ontario to $10 a day.
Meanwhile, Karina Gould, Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, claims the province hasn't submitted a plan indicating how it would spend funds from the federal government.
Lecce was in Mississauga earlier today, where he announced a $600 million investment in capital school and child care projects.
He says the projects will create 26 new schools, upgrades to 20 existing schools, and 3,000 new child care spaces in Ontario.
