Dr. Kieran Moore will hold a press briefing this afternoon, and is expected to make an announcement about capacity limits at professional sporting venues in Ontario.
Ontario's top doctor is expected to have some good news for Toronto sports fans.
A press briefing is scheduled today for Dr. Kieran Moore, and sources tell Toronto media that Moore will likely announce increased capacity at professional sporting venues.
This is ahead of the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons, as well as a possible playoff stint for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Yesterday, the Blue Jays announced the team has been working with the province and will sell additional tickets to the final six home games of the regular season.
The team also noted that all fans 12 and older must be double-dosed to attend games, and unvaccinated fans will no longer be allowed into the Rogers Centre, even if they have a recent negative COVID-19 test.
