We have our first non-travel related case of COVID-19 in Niagara.
Public Health says it’s a man in his thirties and he works at Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School in St. Catharines.
Officials say he worked while he was infectious but there was limited exposure.
The Niagara Catholic District School Board is advising all staff and students to self-monitor for symptoms of the virus over the next two weeks.
Common symptoms include fever and cough.
Other symptoms can include difficulty breathing, sore throat and a runny or congested nose.
If you start to show symptoms you should immediately self-isolate and contact a health care professional or Public Health.
Ontario is reporting 135 new cases of COVID-19 today, which brings the province-wide total to 993.
We have 12 cases in Niagara and two resolved cases.
