The MOH's in Niagara and London indicating it may be tough to get an appointment
Niagara's Acting Medical Officer of Health indicating it may be tough to get an appointment, now that the province is opening up eligibility to anyone 18 plus.
In a thread on Twitter, Dr. Mustafa Hirji responding to a comment made by the MOH for the Middlesex London Health Unit, Dr. Chris Mackie.
Dr. Mackie tweeting yesterday, "A last-ditch effort this afternoon has failed to procure additional vaccine supplies for tomorrow's opening to adults 18-39. This means we have 24K appointments for 135K people."
Dr. Hirji responding "We have 12k appointments for 128k people becoming eligible for booking tomorrow. & pharmacies will have more, but we'll be nowhere in the ballpark. Eligibility is expanding far more quickly than the supply of vaccine."
