Crosswalk vandalized with spray paint and vehicle "burnout"
Police are investigating after a rainbow crosswalk in Niagara-on-the-Lake was vandalized.
Investigators say the crosswalk at Anderson Lane and Niagara Stone Road was spray painted around 3 AM yesterday.
The suspect also did a burnout that left visible traction marks, and sprayed the lens of a nearby security camera.
Nearby residents and businesses with security cameras are asked to check their footage for suspicious behavior.
In addition, volunteer members of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services who responded to an unrelated call at 2:39 a.m. that day, are asked to call and report any vehicles that may have seemed out of place.
Anyone with information can call police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1007730.
