Plan is to increase number of quality units for post-secondary, possibly helping others too
The Niagara Region is working to ensure post-secondary students have a decent place to live.
It's putting its post-secondary Student Housing Strategy alongside its broader Attainable Housing strategy, to increase the amount of units, the quality, and address housing needs of students.
It'll focus on 5-areas... collecting data, increasing the supply, secure funding, create effective policies, and build partnerships.
The region says this plan could also open up options for other people struggling to find a place to live.
The strategy was developed with the help of Brock University, Niagara College, and other community partners.
