The Region is voting to implement all of the recommendations from a recent report from the Ombudsman.
The motion passed with unanimous support at last night's special meeting of Regional Council.
Council intends to have all 16 recommendations in place within the first quarter of next year.
Regional Chair Jim Bradley says it's important to note, the actions described in the report were carried out by a small number of former employees and councillors.
He says implementing these recommendations will serve to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Council also voted in favour of turning over the report on the hiring of former CAO Carmen D'Angelo to the police for further investigation.
Now, the Region considers this an active legal matter, and will not comment further on the proceedings.
