The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has started a rehabilitation project at Two Mile Creek Conservation Area in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Work will take place over the next three to four weeks to remove trees that have fallen victim to Emerald Ash Borer, a kind of beetle causing damage by feeding beneath the bark of ash trees.
The area to be treated is located at the end of Butler Street, and the conservation area will be closed to the public.
Nearby residents can expect noise due to forestry equipment between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
All other conservation areas in the Niagara Peninsula watershed will remain open.
