Niagara Health is says the Rogers outage is affecting radiation therapy and virtual appointments.
The organization says oncology patients with radiation therapy appointments scheduled for today, will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity.
Niagara Health staff will contact impacted patients to rebook appointments.
Any patients requiring emergency radiation treatment will be redirected to Hamilton Health Sciences.
As well, staff will reach out to patients unable to access virtual appointments to reschedule.
There are no other impacts to patient care at this time.
However, staff and physicians are experiencing communication issues related to cell service.
Urgent calls are being accepted on the hospital’s main phone line at 905-378-4647.
Debit machines are also down for anyone purchasing food, pharmacy items and services.
