Mayor Walter Sendzik is calling it great news for front-line services in St. Catharines.
He's thanking the province and Ottawa after the first round of emergency funding under the Safe Restart Agreement was announced yesterday.
The Garden City will receive $7.4-million total including $3.6-million in municipal funding and $3.8-million for transit.
Sendzik says the money will help the city recover from the financial impacts of COVID-19.
