Local resident goes "all in" to win the Poker Lotto All In jackpot.
A local woman is $179,000 richer.
Rita Betz of Smithville won more than $174,000 in the Poker Lotto All In jackpot on November 10th.
She also won $5,000 on the instant portion of her Poker Lotto play.
Her total winnings are now $179,203.90.
The 62 year old says she plays the lottery occasionally, and she was at the store when she discovered she won.
"The store clerk pointed to the jackpot amount and I was so excited. I thought it was $17,000 but the clerk said 'No, look again,’ and that's when I saw it was $179,000!"
Betz says she plans to share the money with her kids, travel and invest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Livingston Avenue in Grimsby.
