Five Beluga's moving to U.S. aquarium
Fisheries and Oceans Canada has approved the export of the whales to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut.
The U.S government approved the move last September.
According to media reports experts from both facilities examined the four female and one male Beluga yesterday and are preparing to fly them to Connecticut as early as this weekend
Mystic's President says the whales will be the focus of important research that will benefit their species in the wild.
The aquarium already has three other Belugas, Kela, Juno and Natasha
The move comes despite efforts by animal rights groups to stop the transfer
