The Premier warning yesterday that stricter public health measures could come as early as today
Doug Ford giving us the heads up yesterday saying it's possible he will announce new restrictions as COVID cases continue to climb putting a strain on hospitals.
According to sources, the government will restrict non essential retail stores to curbside pickup only and big box stores will be restricted to essential aisles only.
The sources say the province will also implement another stay at home order, the last one ran from January to early March.
The new restrictions will likely go into effect in the next 24 to 48 hours.
This comes as the province recorded nearly 15,000 new cases of the coronavirus over the past five days, and hospitals now have more COVID-19 patients in intensive care than at any other time during the pandemic.
