Heavy rain and strong winds expected tomorrow
A special weather statement is in effect for most of southern Ontario, including Niagara.
Environment Canada says about 15 to 25 mm of rain is expected, starting tomorrow morning.
The rain is expected to taper off tomorrow night.
The weather office says some areas may experience localized flooding and utility outages.
Strong winds are also expected throughout the area tomorrow.
A wind warning has been issued for south Niagara, with winds around 90 to 100 km/h tomorrow afternoon into Friday morning.
In north Niagara, winds are expected to hit about 70 to 90 km/h.
