Strong winds expected to diminish late this afternoon
Environment Canada has called off the weather advisory for northern Niagara, but says strong winds are still in the forecast for southern Niagara.
The weather office says winds up to 70 km/hr are possible.
The winds are expected to shift northwesterly and gradually diminish late this afternoon.
Local power outages are possible.
The agency also warns high winds may toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break.
