A Memo of Understanding was signed at council, meant to enhance meeting needs of businesses and residents
It's being called a historic move... the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of St. Catharines and its downtown BIA.
The city says it's the first of its kind in the Niagara region, to formalize and enhance collaborative efforts.
The MOU is meant to streamline processes and clarify expectations, making work between the two easier.
The city adds it focuses on specific areas of cooperation, including joint initiatives, resource allocation, and communication strategies.
Director of the BIA Rachel Braithwaite says the MOU will help better serve needs of local businesses and residents.
