Mixed use structure to be built near the Meridian Centre.
A new a 37 storey tower is coming to St. Catharines.
City councilors have approved a Community Improvement Plan application, allowing for a new mixed use building in the city's downtown core.
The project will be built just down the street from the Meridian Centre.
The building will have 478 residential units, three retail spaces, and a large office.
Plans also include a public space at the corner of St. Paul St and Westchester.
Councilor Lori Littleton says the project will net millions in taxes and improve the downtown area.
