He was the creator of the Partridge Family, and he was born and raised in St. Catharines.
We're just learning that Bernard Slade died on October 30th at the age of 89, due to complications with Lewy body dementia.
He got his start doing summer stock theatre in Niagara, before he moved out to the Hollywood hills.
Slade also created other hit TV shows including The Flying Nun and Bridget Loves Bernie.
