The Niagara Poverty Reduction Network has announced Young Electric has become a certified living wage employer at the Champion level.
The electrical contractor, which is based in St. Catharines, has committed to paying staff an hourly wage of $18.90 cents an hour, which is the living wage in Niagara.
The living wage reflects how much workers need to make based on the costs of living in their community.
