Service takes emergency calls for several other communities
St. Catharines Fire Services has added a new dispatch partner.
Startng this week, the service will take emergency calls for Quinte West.
Currently, St. Catharines Fire Services provides dispatch services to eight other communities in the Niagara region, as well as Haldimand and Norfolk counties.
Fire Chief Dave Upper adds the St. Catharines Fire Service plans to add dispatch service for more communities by the end of the year.
"We are honoured to be the dispatch provider and to be able to offer our professional services to the City of Quinte West." said Upper. "The City of Quinte West is one of several new partners we plan to onboard before the end of the year."
