Police say they've been monitoring a certain site for the last month
A child luring charge has been laid against a 59-year old Welland man.
Over the last month, police say they were monitoring a certain user on the internet, who they say was looking to meet with children for a sexual purpose.
They say Robert Darryl Davis connected with someone he believed was a 14-year old girl.
During the texting, police say he attempted the lure the 'child', and on Saturday attempted to meet her, but when he showed up, police arrested him.
He had a bail hearing yesterday in St. Catharines.
Police believe he's used the names "Jim", or "Jimmy Wilson" and "Mike Wilson" to meet other children.
