St. Catharines Man Wins Over $188,000

St. Catharines man wins $188,049 with Lotto 6/49.

A St. Catharines man has won over $180,000.

Stan Williams won the second prize in the July 13th Lotto 649 draw,

The retired swimmer and lifeguard says he has played the lottery regularly for several years.

"This ticket was a free play I added ENCORE to," he explained. "I usually save my free plays for a larger jackpot, but I stepped out of my routine this time."

He plans to invest some of the money, buy a new TV and and celebrate with his family.

The winning ticket was purchased at Avondale on Bunting Road in St. Catharines.
