The City of St. Catharines is clearing things up when it comes to property maintenance during COVID-19.
It says landscaping and lawn care businesses can only provide services for safety, security and sanitation purposes.
Lawn cutting and spraying fall under this category.
These businesses can’t provide any services in order to beautify the property.
This includes planting shrubs and trees.
You can hire someone to fix your fence for safety and security reasons.
The construction of pools, sheds, detached garages and decks are not permitted until further notice.
If you're building a house and you already have a residential building permit, you can hire someone to build landscape steps, granular driveways and sidewalks.
