St. Catharines City Council didn't approve a ban on single-use plastic bags, but the discussion is not over.
Councillor Kevin Townsend introduced a motion Monday night, in hopes of having a ban in place by December 2020.
But his fellow councillors wanted to know more about the legal roadblocks, so they requested a report from staff.
City Council has already approved a ban on single-use plastic straws at St. Catharines facilities.
