City officials say masking by-law will end as Ontario and Niagara Region end mask mandates.
The City of St. Catharines is ending the masking by-law.
Officials say the by-law for mandatory masking in enclosed public spaces will be lifted on March 21st, when the province will lift its masking mandate.
This will allow residents to access indoor public spaces, including City facilities, without a mask on March 21st.
You'll still need to wear a facial covering in certain high-risk settings such as health care facilities and public transit.
While restrictions are being eased, the City says COVID-19 remains prevalent in the community, and residents are being urged to remain cautious.
