Pole will be returned to Centennial Gardens
The restoration of a St. Catharines landmark has begun.
The Totem Pole, which was removed in 2019 from its spot in Centennial Gardens, is finally being restored this summer.
The 51-year-old Totem Pole had begun deteriorating over the years from the weather.
The historic structure was erected in 1967 to mark Canada’s Centennial.
The city plans to reinstall the totem pole once restoration has been completed.
