Hamilton Health Sciences has submitted a Stage 2 Plan for the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
If it's approved by the Ministry of Health, the new hospital would be almost double the size of the current one and construction would begin in 2022.
The new hospital would also include four operating rooms, which is double the amount the current hospital has.
The new hospital would also be built behind the old one and the old building would be demolished once the new hospital opens.
The plan is not official until the province gives the greenlight, but you can read more about it online here.
