Stratford Teen to Swim Across Lake Erie for Make-A-Wish

A Stratford teenager is hoping to become the youngest person to ever swim across Lake Erie.

Julia Notebomber will swim from Sturgeon Point, New York to Crystal Beach today while raising money for Make-A-Wish.

"I chose them because I believe that every kid should have the opportunity to just be a kid, have fun and just have fun experiences."

She has already raised over $11,800 dollars for the cause.

Notebomber is hoping to start her swim sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. once the wind calms down.

Today also happens to be her 14th birthday.
